The Story

Taking a passion & turning it into a profession may require many things. These mostly consist of hard work, focus & ambition but also of just the right play of circumstances & a bit – if not a lot – of luck. All those things seemed to align when we noticed this vacant building up for rent in an old traditional Taiwanese residential neighborhood. The decision didn’t take long to make & it soon was turned into a charming little dining environment. The only thing left to determine: How should we call this place? The restaurant’s name was finally derived from having lived on Belfort Street in Heidelberg, Germany & being jokingly called the “Belfort Bistro” after establishing a communal food service for our friends & roomates during University times. There we had it – spring of 2013, the beginning of a new & exciting era!

The Food

At Belfort Bistro we focus, with some exceptions, on rustic Italian cuisine. Our patrons visit us to enjoy fresh salads, delicious pasta dishes, handmade gnocchi, oozy risottos & the most wonderful woodfire-oven pizza.

The Mindset

Quality comes first: In order to provide you with the best experience possible, we only source the freshest ingredients & produce. Everything we serve is made fresh from scratch in-house!

The Experience

Having a romantic evening with your dearest, celebrating a joyful occasion or just treating yourself to a nice meal: There are many reasons to visit us, whatever it may be, at Belfort Bistro you’ll find a great place for wining & dining in a special cozy ambiance. Salute!
